WISE - Computer Requirements

PC

A PC with an Intel Pentium or 486 processor running one of the following Microsoft Windows operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows NT version 3.51 or 4.0
• Microsoft Windows 95
• Microsoft Windows for Workgroups version 3.11 & DOS version 3.31 or later
• Microsoft Windows version 3.1 and DOS version 3.31 or later

Note: A 386 or below will not run Notes satisfactorily.

Recommended Memory

• 8 MB of RAM for Windows 3.1 and Windows for Workgroups 3.11
• 16 MB of RAM for Windows 95 and Windows NT 3.51 or 4.0

Minimum Memory

• 6 MB of RAM for Windows 3.1 & Windows for Workgroups 3.11
• 8 MB of RAM for Windows 95 and Windows NT 3.51 or 4.0

Disk Space

• 80 MB of free space recommended; 60 MB free space minimum
  

MAC

A PowerMacintosh will perform best, but a Macintosh II-based Performa, Macintosh Quadra, PowerBook model, or any Macintosh supporting a 68030 or 68040 processor is fine.

Note: Computers that can't run Notes include PowerBook 100s, SEs, and Classic Macs, and it's excruciating slow on an LC II. (PowerMacintoshes)

• Macintosh System software 7.5 or later
• 40 MB of RAM or more recommended, minimum of 24 MB RAM
• 70 MB of free disk space is recommended (75MB for full custom install), with a minimum of 50 MB free space
• A Macintosh-compatible display adapter and color monitor
• An Apple-compatible printer (optional, but highly recommended)
• Apple Shared Library Manager (required for all Macs)
