About Richard Milburn Academy
Who We Are
Richard Milburn Academy is a public charter high school designed to help students who have experienced difficulty in a traditional school setting. Since we opened our first school in 1998, we have helped nearly 17,000 students complete their high school education. Last year (school year 2005/2006) we served the educational needs of approximately 3,640 students who may otherwise have continued to struggle in school or dropped out. We believe that each student is capable of academic success, and we adapt our program to fit each student's unique learning and personal needs.
At RMA, students have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma in an environment in which they feel safe, supported and valued. Our nontraditional program and student-centered approach to education make RMA a good fit for students who have experienced difficulty in school and are looking to make a change in their lives.
