| Midland TEA Information
The Texas Education Agency assigns accountability ratings to every public school and district in the state. As a public charter school, Richard Milburn Academy is evaluated according to TEA's guidelines for alternative eduction accountability. RMA is currently rated "academically acceptable" according to these guidelines.
What the TEA rating means
For a charter school to be rated AEA Academically Acceptable by the Texas Education Agency, it must meet the following criteria:
1. Meet the minimum TAKS passing standard of 45 percent
2. Meet the minimum student completion rate of 75 percent
3. Meet the maximum dropout standard of 10 percent
