NESI provides remedial tutoring programs that inspire every student to believe and achieve delivered by teachers who are committed to making a difference in the educational life of every child.

Title 1

NESI provides in-school remedial services free of charge to eligible students under “Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965," as amended.

Title I is the largest single program of federal aid for elementary and secondary education.

Supplemental Services

NESI provides after-school tutoring services free of charge to eligible students through the Supplemental Educational Services [SES] program under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 [NCLB].

Concern about the rate of progress - both in Title I in particular and the health of the nation's educational system in general - led directly to the initiation of the NCLB legislation.
